Let's start with turning the Merk Road land fill into a recreational/commercial node. Small hotel, restaurants, baseball, softball, football and tennis facility. Ever heard of Williamsport, PA home of the little leauge world series? How about Omaha, NE home of the college baseball world series? We can put South Fulton on the map, increase revenues and create useful recreational space for our young people.
Lets look revising a comprehensive plan for the unincorporated area from planning/zoning to transportation. Camp Creek is getting more congested with the growth along with Old National Highway under their rebirth.
We could also incorporated a NPU system for our area since we have different issues. Sandtown/FIB may more be about controlled growth where as Old National is about crime. The NPUs can effectively address these issues, I will admit they work for Atlanta.
Lets place police under the Sheriff to save money. If we can't get rid of the department, might as well make it work for us.

Old National, Old National is what it is: a beast, 24/7. I wished Old National were a six lane parkway, like SR 85 in Riverdale. And I wished that lane (on Old National south) at I-85/285were removed, it causes a hell of a back up.
